Athleisure? Yes, this is a term that people like myself like to throw around when we are wearing activewear, but not actually working out. Yoga pants are not just for the physically active. This has become a huge trend among people of all ages. They now come in all shapes, sizes, designs, colors, etc. You can find them everywhere. Companies are marketing them to all…smart, very smart.
Ever since our second son was born, it has been very difficult finding the time to work out. I used to belong to a gym, made time to attend workout classes, and joined a yoga and kickboxing studio. Now when I have some free time, I literally don’t have the energy to do a whole lot of physical activity. I hate that – very much! Part of me is making excuses and the other part really does feel like my energy has been drained by two little people who have an endless supply of it.
I am not a runner, but we do have a treadmill at home that I have been forcing myself to get back on. There are some preset jog/sprint interval training workouts on there that I have been doing when time permits. In only 20 minutes, I can get a pretty good workout in. Now that the weather is starting to warm up, I have become more motivated to get back into a workout routine of some sort.
Sometimes adding something new to my workout attire is enough to help motivate me even more. Here I have shared a few items that I love to wear, working out or not.
