Ever since my boys were born, I knew that I wanted to make sure that their sensitive skin is always well taken care of. Here are some creams, ointments, lotions and potions that I have been using since the day they were born and still love to this day.
1 – Acure Baby Buns – This has been a great product for their little bums. I have mentioned this brand in my Nighttime Routine post and how much I liked it. I try to put quality products on my skin, but when it comes to my kids, I am even more careful as to what I use on them. This product is not only all natural, but it really works. A little goes a long way. As soon as I notice irritation, I slab some on and all is good by next day.
2 – Acure Baby Fix-It Stick – I love this thing for little boo boos. Anytime there is an Acure Baby Fix-It Stick – I love this thing for little boo boos. Anytime there is an ouchy somewhere, I will put a little bit of it on the spot and it seems to help. I really like how easy it is to use. It basically looks like a big tube of chapstick so there is no mess. It absorbs fast and leaves no residue. It’s also great for scars.
3 – Honest Healing Balm – This is another company that I have been using on my kids. The effects are very similar to the Fix-It Stick, but is in a squeeze container. The consistency is on the thicker and greasier side, but my kids have very dry skin in the winter so it works for us. I put a little on my hands and put it on like lotion. This is great to use on irritated skin, eczema, diaper rash, minor cuts and scrapes, and much more.
4 – Honest Bubble Bath / Honest Shampoo and Body Wash – We have been using these for a long time now. The bubble bath is great because it produces a lot of bubbles. Due to huge messes and bubble fights, I use this stuff sparingly. The shampoo and body wash is great because it’s 2 in 1. It’s a very gentle formula that doesn’t irritate their skin or their eyes if soap gets in them. The smell is sweet orange vanilla, which is so heavenly.
5 – Honest Hand Sanitizer – I have purchased these in 3 different containers; a pump bottle, a squeeze bottle and a spray bottle. I would recommend the spray over all the others. It is small enough to throw in your purse or diaper bag and is by far the most convenient. When the boys need a little sanitizing, I just pull it out and spray all over their hands. They don’t always do the best job of rubbing in hand sanitizer, so this allows me to spray their hands and get them fully covered. It does feel a bit sticky at first, but it dries quickly.
6 – Aquaphor – This one is an oldie, but a goodie. This stuff has been used for most things listed above. We have tubs of this stuff that we use. Sometimes it’s just easier to use this product because we have it basically in every room. This too is great for diaper rashes, irritated or dry skin or irritations on little noses from blowing and wiping them every 5 minutes.
I would love to hear about the products you love and use on your kids!
