We finally got our first snowfall! It completely caught everyone off guard. Totally unexpected. The temps were not that low so the snow was not sticking, but then it got heavier and heavier and the snowflakes became massive and the snow started to accumulate a little bit. It was so beautiful. I wasn’t sure how the pictures would turn out, but I have to say that I am pretty pleased. Once it snows, it automatically puts me in the spirit of the holidays.
I get excited for holiday parties and friend gift exchanges, but what I am really looking forward to is when my boys get a bit older and we can all go help serve food at local homless shelters we have around town. I know you can do that year round, but it is during this time that they may need an extra reminder. I want to teach them that giving is far better than receiving especially this time of year. Both of my kids can be so caring and nurturing and I want to instill in them the need to help others.
I love to see how their little minds are maturing and growing right before our very eyes. When did my four year old become so witty and so smart and so incredibly funny? They have such big personalities and I can’t wait to see what is in store for them.
Ok, on with the post…
Today I wanted to share with you how to style a chambray dress three different ways. This chambray dress from Maude is the perfect casual look and can be worn with OTK boots such as the ones I have on above or a super cute bootie.
I love throwing an oversized sweater over a dress for that ultra comfy look or a puffy jacket to add a little bit more warmth. Adding a knit beanie is the perfect touch to keep your head warm or dry from massive snowflakes…haha.
I have to tell you, I wasn’t quite sold on the over the knee (OTK) boot at first, but these are so incredible comfortable and fit very well. I am totally sold on them and plan to wear them all time. I would say they are pretty true to size, but if in doubt, I would size up half a size depending on the type of sock you want to wear.
What are your thoughts on OTK boots? Like them? Hate them? Don’t care either way? Let me know!
