Shop My Look Below (The necklace is fairly new and still should be available in stores. I wasn’t able to find it online, so I linked one that was similar).
This weekend has been cold and dreary. Contrary to what these pictures show, it was misty and cold that day. This is very typical of our weather…warm one day cold another. We have had a lot of rain lately, which is why it has been so cool, but on the bright side, it has helped make everything really green and pretty…yay!
I spent part of Saturday doing some last minute shopping for our trip later this week. We will be heading to Seaside, FL (near Santa Rosa Beach) for a wedding that my husband and Wyatt will be participating in. I am more than ready for some warm sun, beaches and pools. We are renting the most darling house near the beach. Aside from seeing our friends, I am also really excited seeing how the boys will react to the beach and seeing sand for the first time. As much as they love playing in the sandbox, this will be a bit different and eye-opening. Actually, this will be the first time all of us travel together to a far off land (insert a nervous laugh).
The amount of stuff needed to pack for two small human beings is insane…car seats, stroller, toys, beloved stuffed animals, turtle night light, etc. The nice thing is, is that the flight is pretty short and will not cause any major anxiety for my husband and I…hopefully. I’ll let you know how it all goes.
Sunday, we spent time taking care of some (new) house business. We finally have a closing date on our new house so in about 6 short weeks we will be moving into our new home. We are on a hunt for a big boy bed for Trev, our two-year-old. We didn’t have any luck in that department, but we did purchase 2 big rugs for our house, so that’s a plus.
Below is the outfit I wore while we were out running errands on Sunday. Don’t worry, I changed into the heels for the pics. I have talked about these jeans in one of my earlier posts, but I have to say, the material is incredibly comfortable. There is a perfect amount of stretch that allows for extra comfort than most jeans offer. I paired them with a loose t-shirt for a very casual look and threw a basic black cardigan over it. Seriously though, I have so many cardigans that I love to throw over just about every shirt I wear, mainly because I get cold all the time.
I hope everyone has a great week. Also, if you have any tips and tricks on traveling with a 2 and a 4-year-old, I would love to hear about it. I think I will just over pack and hope for the best!
