This post has been a long time in the making. I have talked about it in a few of my previous posts, so now I am ready to share with you guys our living room. Although, I still feel like there is still so much I want to do and change since moving into our home over a year ago. I know that these things take time and I am in no rush in making big changes, so for now, it works for us and with a little bit of styling, you can make any piece of furniture work in just about any part of your home.
If anything, I hope to inspire you and perhaps it will give you some styling ideas for your own home. A few weeks ago I did a post on How to Create a Cozy Corner at Home and today I am expanding on it a bit further. If you have any specific questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below.
One of my favorite pieces for this room is this wooden wall art from Soft Surroundings. It is definitely one of the focal points in our living room. The hints of gold coloring and the craftsmanship really make this piece stand out.
If you are on a budget, adding lots of pillows and blankets can really make a huge difference and bring the cozy factor up a notch. The sectional is one that we have had for a while
Adding texture can create a comfortable and a liveable feel to any room of the house. This rug (4’x6′) is one of my favorite items that I have recently added. My kids really love it too because they like to lay on it and play with their toys. It’s really soft and surprisingly doesn’t shed very much.
I love the rustic touch of the barn doors in our entryway. These were custom built and made out of an old barn from Wisconsin.
