Smile Brilliant at Home Teeth Whitening + Giveaway
Giveaway ends Friday, January 20th!!!
I used to use white strips to whiten my teeth for a long time, but can honestly say that it was a much dreaded process. The gel would come off the strip and get in my mouth which caused me to constantly spit down the drain like some deranged camel. The box would last me forever because I couldn’t get myself to use it very often. The struggle was real, folks.
When Smile Brilliant, at home teeth whitening company reached out to me and wanted me to try out their product I was super excited. You have probably seen your dentist’s office advertise home teeth whitening trays for hundreds of dollars. Way too expensive! This process is similar, but so much easier, a lot cheaper and the results are incredible.
I received my kit in the mail with all the materials needed to create my custom trays at home. The instructions were super easy to follow and very well outlined. They even send you extra materials in case you mess up – haha.
The initial process to get your teeth molds is much easier than I had thought. You take one catalyst containers with white putty and one base container with dark blue putty (as seen above) and you mix them together to form a nice light blue color using your hands. Once you have mixed the two, you just place it in the blue mouth guard looking tray. Then immediately place it either on the top or bottom teeth. Wait a few minutes. Take it out. That’s it. Repeat with the other guard. Rinse them out with water. Place them both in a prepackaged envelope and wait for your perfectly molded trays to arrive. Easy, peasy.
One of my concerns prior to the whitening was teeth sensitivity, but after you use your whitening tray, you immediately use the desensitizing gel to reduce the sensitivity. I can’t even tell you how great this gel is. Check out other testimonials here.
My First Use
The trays came back perfect and fit like a glove. It was really odd to see the exact replica of your teeth, but really cool. I received a case with my trays, 3 teeth whitening syringes and 3 desensitizing syringes. Anything else left over you can toss.
Place a small amount of the whitening gel onto the bottom part of each tray and insert. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this part, but it stayed in place very well. You can leave it in as long as you would like, but don’t exceed 3 hours because your teeth will get super sensitive. The first time I wore it was for an hour and immediately followed it by the desensitizing gel. Wow, my teeth were not sensitive at all. That stuff helped. Also, I didn’t feel the need to spit because the gel stayed in place. The key here is to not use too much so that it overflows. A little really does go a long way.
The next day I had a lot of stuff to get done around the house and so I decided to put them in and just go about my business. Especially now that I knew how easy it was. Well, I sort of got carried away and forgot I had them in, I mean, I would remember from time to time, but was too busy to check the time or take them out. I went about 3 hours. That was not a good idea. The desensitizing gel helped a lot, but I could tell my teeth were going to be sensitive the next day. My recommendation is to go for an hour each time. The results were fantastic though.
Each syringe is good for 3-4 uses. Once you have used them all up, all you have to do is just buy the refills. Way cheaper.
You guys, the results are pretty phenomenal. I noticed a difference after a single use. The more you use, the better the results will be. I chose to spread it out more just so that my teeth don’t get overly sensitive. It is bleach after all. Below you can see my before / after photos. The lighting isn’t the best, but the results are pretty great.
Now onto some exciting stuff…I am thrilled to announce that Smile Brilliant will be giving away a $139 credit to the store for a T3 Sensitive System (3 whitening and 3 desensitizing gels). This is the exact same one that I used.
